Prop 8 has gotten a huge amount of attention both before the CA elections and continuing afterward. While I am a huge opponent to this proposition, I want to say that I do not condone those that have vandalized churches and have acted out of hate to the proponents of this issue.

Today I spent a great portion of the day supporting the local Sacramento rally as a small part of a global movement starting at 10:30am. This was my first rally of any movement or issue and I was so touched. The variety of people that showed up at Caesar Chavez park across from City Hall was amazing! There were straight, gay, and religious people all gathered TOGETHER in unification. The rally and the march were amazing and an incredible way to spend a beautiful fall day in Northern CA.

Mysty's busy week

Over the past month or so we have been watching some suspicious spots on Mysty's tummy. Knowing that her mother has had her own bouts with skin cancer we have been watchful since Mysty has been in our family (almost 7 years now). Yesterday the vet did biopsy one of the spots so we should know the results next week. For now, Mysty is home with two stitches in her belly and the threat of the e-collar if she licks. Which, if you know Mysty she is definitely bound to lick.

Odometer Check

It all started in May when our company sponsored the "May is Bike Month" event. (http://www.mayisbikemonth.com/). A few of us decided to ride our bikes to work. For me, this commute is 12 miles one way. I did not think this would stick (especially after the accident/concussion in May) but then the construction on I-5 happened and gas prices went through the roof. Here we are in September and we are still biking. After my commute this morning, I have a little more than 730 miles on my odometer! Now I am craving a new hybrid bike! I currently am riding a Giant MTB that I bought on Craigslist. I have added road tires to the bike and recently upgraded to clipless pedals.

Now, I wonder when the weight will start dropping off?

Fantasy Football Sophmore Season

Last year I had beginner's luck and won the fantasy football league (which funded our Wii purchase). This year we'll see if it truly was just beginner's luck. Last year's roster proved worthy with Tony Romo as the QB and Randy Moss as the main WR. I am not so sure about this line up...my draft position was right in the middle at # 5 (out of 10 teams). Here is is...what do you think? Have sleeper tips for me? I think I need some WR quality additions! Advice is appreciated.
